Park Oltremare: discover nature and its wonders
The Park
Oltremare sprawls along an area of 110 thousand square meters and offers visitors not only the possibility to explore the world of marine creatures, but also the possibility to discover interesting educational paths dedicated to birds, insects and many other typical animals of the Adriatic. In fact, there are three possibilities: the “Voyage Through Time,” “From the Oceans to the Adriatic Sea” and “ Our Animals.” Expert guides, educational laboratories, rest points, a shopping corner and nearby there is an exhilarating I-Max, a cinematic screen of impressive dimensions where you can witness breathtaking shows on life of the universe and the oceans, all of which are available for our visitors. Furthermore, there are special programs for schools and groups, and rates and special discounts for families.
Main Attractions
Without a shadow of a doubt the main attraction of Oltremare is the dolphins, which periodically perform a moving performance in the Baia di Delfini (Bay of Dolphins), a reproduction true to a part of the Croatian coast. Eleven dolphins alternate in performances, games and acrobatics to the rhythm of music, giving life to one of the most beautiful and exciting shows, where you can see the character of these incredible animals. The park also offers its visitors the possibility of taking part in true training courses for the dolphins over a period of a few days. It is also worth mentioning the pathway that deals with the evolution of the land, from the beginnings to the creation of matter, including strange animals, reptiles and dinosaurs.
